Many of our Ringnecks are available as "Parent Fed" ( recommended for those interested in breeding parakeets) or "Hand Fed" options, and price is a reflection of these options. Expect our ringnecks to be between 6 months and 24 months, and are weaned but not tame.
* Please see important and special note below regarding additional taming and bonding time needed for all Indian Ringnecks, even if it has been hand fed before it arrives to you.
Our Ringneck birds love attention, can learn many speech patterns, and ship fast in our secure USPS safety travel containers. If you are looking for an active and intelligent companion pet bird that will respond to your attention and language patterns, ringneck birds are a good choice.
Unless a male Indian Ringneck is 17+ mos of age, it is difficult to determine gender. This age is when the male typically gets a black ring around its neck. Otherwise they look like females. To guarantee gender, DNA testing is required, at an additional $99 per DNA test.
Special Notes:ALL Indian Ringnecks that are hand fed still require taming and bonding with their new owners upon their arrival to you. Also, Indian Ringnecks are illegal in the state of New Jersey.
