Description: Wild pied ringneck doves (Streptopelia Risoria) make good pets and the most popular type of dove to own as a pet. They have mainly white feathering, with the occasional wild-coloured feather. Any non-white feathers are solid coloured. There is usually a thin dark band barely visible along the back of the neck. The eyes are dark, with a pale tan to grey beak and red-pink feet. The males coo but do not have a contnuous loud coo.

Size: about 10.6 inches as an adult
Breeding: 12 years and use open cup nests
Diet: Various grains and seeds, including millet, milo, wheat, canary grass, black sunflower, cracked corn, safflower, Australian Blend Goldenfeast.
